Sustainable Manufacturing Pathways
We’ve built a supply chain that respects both people and the planet. This commitment is woven into everything we do, guiding every choice from materials to manufacturing.
Our annual compliance audits, global Sedex membership, and strict supplier code of conduct ensure that every garment we manufacture carries an ethical signature. From labour rights to environmental responsibility, we scrutinise every step of our manufacturing process.

Leading the Way in Ethical Apparel
At S&H, sustainability isn’t just something we talk about. It’s woven into everything we do. We’re committed to shrinking our environmental footprint, choosing materials responsibly, and building circular practices that are good for both the planet and the communities we work with.
We back up that commitment with real credentials: Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA®) certification, Sedex global membership, and ISO 14001 accreditation. These ensure our production meets rigorous ethical and environmental standards from start to finish.
We’re also proud to partner with Indigenous organisations, creating genuine procurement opportunities that make a difference. Through our Supplier Code of Conduct, we’re driving positive change and continuing to lead Australia in uniform and protective apparel.
Environmental Impact
Putting Sustainability into Practice
The environment matters to us. Not as a box to tick, but as something we genuinely care about getting right.
We’ve woven sustainability into how we work, from earning ISO 14001 certification to setting real, measurable goals we can actually be held to. But honestly, it goes beyond the formal stuff. It’s in the everyday choices: cutting waste where we can, using resources more thoughtfully, and always asking if there’s a better way.
We want everyone here to feel like they’re part of this. Sustainability works best when it’s shared, not handed down.
At Stewart & Heaton, we’re not just trying to meet standards. We want to do work we’re proud of, the kind that leaves things a little better than we found them.
Circularity
Threads of Circular Transformation
We’ve partnered with leading uniform recyclers, including Upparel and ThreadUp, to give old garments a second life. Instead of ending up in landfill, worn-out textiles get transformed into something useful again.
It’s part of how we think about manufacturing as a whole. We’re working toward a circular approach where materials keep their value for as long as possible, and waste becomes the exception rather than the norm.
